Ipamorelin References: The Papers Behind Each Claim
Where these Ipamorelin references lead
Only a short list of published studies covers Ipamorelin, a lab-made compound. This page tells you which paper supports each main claim.
The list starts with animal work from 1998 and then moves forward by date. Next comes the 1999 study that watched Ipamorelin in human blood.
The failed 2014 Phase 2 trial follows. That stage is an early patient test that looks for benefit and harm.
Then come the rat bone paper and the 2024 ferret weight study. A rat safety paper tested a related drug, not Ipamorelin.
Each entry gives the full paper name and a public link. If a full paper costs money, its short public summary may still be read.
Newer reviews come after the main studies. They show that later writers still found much more animal work than human proof.
What newer Ipamorelin reviews found (2024–2026)
Four newer reviews discuss Ipamorelin among peptides that aren't approved. All warn that promising animal work has moved far ahead of human proof.
A 2026 Sports Medicine review found good signs for tissue repair and weight in animals. It also found little sound work on human safety [7].
Another 2026 medical review saw promise for hormone and weight problems. The writers said more human work is needed before most such peptides can be used safely [8].
A 2026 bone and joint review found no result for muscle or joints that human studies had repeated. It kept Ipamorelin in the research group, not the treatment group [9].
A 2026 sports review covered claims about fat and body shape. It warned about unchecked use and more tests of athletes for banned drugs [10].
